One of the best things about the ad:tech SF conference is the party scene. Registered attendees have a huge variety of booming afterparties to pick from after a long day of networking at marketing event after marketing event.

One of the worst things, though, is standing in line to get into the clubs. Worse still, many venues hit capacity and even RSVP'd guests are sometimes turned away.

That's not going to happen at the Marketer's Ball, surely the biggest and probably the most notorious of all the San Francisco ad:tech afterparties. Marketer's Ball organizers have booked the big and beautiful nightclub 1015 Folsom. Three levels and countless dance floors ensure that all registered attendees will get in and get funky.

The Marketer's Ball is the biggest ad:tech party and by a large margin. Party organizer Darren Blatt tells Allvoices that this year's Marketer's Ball will be "more than double the size of the second largest party at the (ad:tech) show, and more than four times the size of the third largest." I'm not great at math, but I'm pretty sure that means this party will be memorably off the hook.

This party has quite a rep, and deservedly so. These are the folks behind the ad:tech NYC Affiliate Ball, which last year had party footage featured on TMZ. They know how to throw a rager.

At the 2012 Marketer's Ball, the webmasters and marketers will be styled out with a live performance by Bay Area hip-hop legend Too $hort, best known for his hyphy hit "Blow the Whistle." Mr. $hort will be backed by a full live band on the 1015 Folsom main stage.

That's not all, as party organizers have booked a mega-mix of well-known San Francisco Bay Area musical performers. Mr. Blatt told Allvoices, "I'm like the Whole Foods of parties this round, picked our best artists fresh from the area."

Longtime Bay Area cult favorite Jazz Mafia will bring their enormous crew to the main stage as well. The East Bay Express describes Jazz Mafia as "what you'd hear if a full-size philharmonic found itself jamming with a classic big band during a street-corner rap battle."

The Black Rock City All Stars will also be on hand with their eclectic collective of DJs, MCs, jugglers and fire performers. You're not going to see indoor fire performances at any of the other ad:tech parties, people. If you're a Burning Man person, this is surely the ad:tech afterparty for you.

The Marketer's Ball is sponsored by FriendFinder Networks and Infinite Traffic with go go dancers provided by ScrubKit. So things may get a little bit Not-Safe-For-Work. But you won't be at work - you'll be at the Marketer's Ball. Advance registration is required for any ad:tech attendees who wish to attend the Marketer's Ball.
