HCG girls unite in Seattle

Who lives off 500 calories a day and loses massive weight without their metabolism going into starvation mode? Who plans meet ups with others ready to throw off their old habits and get all new, so they can talk about their journey? HCG dieters, that's who!

Have you ever met someone who made you feel like you've known them before, like you could just sit and wrap your arms around them at your very first meeting? I felt that way on Monday when I had the privelege of meeting with three other HCG dieters.

You see, as a new dieter it doesn't take long to plug into the HCG community through websites and forums.

So far, as of March 29, I've lost 17.2 lbs in only 13 days. It is absolutely a miracle watching your body melt right before your eyes, but that may be exactly why vloggers attach to each other like they've known each other before. Who loses weight that fast?

The thing about dieters on HCG is we have our own language. If you start watching some of these dieters who use HCG, the pregnancy hormone, to help them lose weight, you might be lost at first if you don't know the lingo.

So let me help you out:

P1, P2, P3, P4 means phase one, two, three and four.

Phase 1 is the loading phase. "Loading" means eating as much fat and junk food that you can cram down your throat for, typically two days, to prepare your body for the very low calorie diet.

Phase 2 is the very low calorie diet, Phase three offers the dieter the chance to add more calories and introduce some fats and more protein (three weeks), phase four means you can introduce sugars and starches again (three weeks). When you have completed a full round of each phase, then you can start all over again

Rounds mean how many times you have completed all four phases.

VLCD means very low calorie diet. This is where the HCG dieter is in phase 2, they eat only 500 calories from a very limited list of protein, vegetables, fruit and toast or bread sticks.

TOM means "time of month" or better known as a woman's menstrual cycle.

Smooth Move is the tea the dieter drinks to keep their body cleansed.
