Kate, who played the role of “Rose DeWitt Bukater” fifteen years earlier, wore a lovely V-necked black gown with a plunging neckline, silver beaded cap sleeves and diamond-shaped jewel brooch at the waist.
Her romantic interest in the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio who played the character of “Jack Dawson,” was nowhere to be seen but costar Billy Zane, his rival in film as “Caledon Hockley” attended along with girlfriend Jasmina Hdagha, both wearing shades of deep blue, which Billy teaming his suit with a slate blue shirt.
Cameron admits that despite some mistakes with the original representation of the ship Titanic, he has not changed even one frame in the re-mastered 3D version for its release fifteen years later!
The 3D version required 300 computer artists who spent 750,000 man hours to achieve the three dimensional effect – a process that has been quoted as “mind-numbing” and “horrific!”
By the way, the original version, which had an estimated budget of around $200 million, has grossed almost $2 billion.
