Indianapolis, IN (March 14, 2012) – Top Indianapolis car dealer Ray Skillman cited a report released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) last week, entitled Light-Duty Automotive Technology, Carbon Dioxide Emissions, and Fuel Economy Trends: 1975 Through 2011, stating that Hyundai Motor America and sister company Kia Motors America secured the top two spots in the Fuel Economy and CO2 Emission rankings for 2010 model vehicles.

According to the EPA fuel economy rankings for 2010 model year vehicles, Hyundai and Kia cars posts fuel economy values of around 27 miles per gallon (mpg). Meanwhile, in the CO2 emissions rankings, EPA data shows that Hyundai exhibited the lowest fleet-wide adjusted composite CO2 emissions performance at 329 g/mi for its 2010 model year vehicles. It bested Kia by just one point at 330 g/mi.
