Qatar-based broadcasters Al-Jazeera in its Paris office had received a USB memory stick containing a video of the killing from Toulouse gunman Mohamed Merah, who killed seven people during his 9-nine day shooting spree, report says.
The 25-minute film was authenticated by investigators and postal stamp showed the parcel was sent last Wednesday from a village close to Toulousse but detectives are still trying to find out whether Merah had sent the parcel before returning to his flat on Tuesday or if it was sent by an accomplice.
Merah killed three children and a rabbi on March 19 and gunned down three French paratroopers in his previous shootings, which police called a “war chants.”
The killer who expressed support for Al-Qaeda and was also planning to do other assassinations was finally killed on Thursday when police besieged his flat at southeastern city of Toulousse.
