News sources KPLCTV.com and Associated Press. Mandeville Louisiana. St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain said his office reported a 14 year old boy was arrested Sunday evening on a charge of terrorizing students and teachers by allegedly placing his threats on Facebook.
The boy attends Monteleone Junior High School and is an eight grader. The threats read some students and teachers were "going to die." Monday. He also had a "survivors list."
The boy was not identified was taken to the Florida Parish Juvenile Detention Facility and he will be expected to make an appearance in a courtroom later this week.
Monteleone Junior High School on Monday had extra police officers on the school grounds as a precaution to prevent another school shooting.
The police department took action to arrest the student when parents and teachers sent the threatening messages to the authorities.
Investigators believe the student acted alone in making his threats on Facebook. The motive of the threats in unclear at this time.
