Philippine Vice President Jejomar Biny will leave the country to attend the 2nd Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, South Korea today(Saturday).
Binay said in his statement,” We shall be discussing nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation, and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. We shall be exploring various ways of enhancing global nuclear security and safety, in the face of the continuing spread of nuclear weapons and radioactive materials around the world, and the nuclear disaster during last year's earthquake-tsunami in Fukushima, Japan.”
Binay also allow him to visit for a meeting with the Korean government officials since it concides with its bilateral celebration of the 63rd anniversarry on the establishment pf diplomatic relations bewteen South Korea and the Philippines. He had a chance to meet the Filipino community as a presidential adviser on OFWs, chairman of HUDCC and chairman emeritus of the Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking.
