Sugar the cat survives 19-storey fall in Boston, US

Cat has nine lives! You better believe on that saying when you read this: In Boston, Massachusetts, a very fortunate cat has survived a fall from a window 19 storeys up! I said 19 storeys, that would be according to my estimate 45 to 60 m or 150-200 ft. Is that right? Would you believe that Sugar, that’s her name, had no broken bones or cuts from the plunge, just bruising.

Sugar was brought to vets at the Animal Rescue League, and this is what I learn for the first time, they say that when cats fall from such a height, they act like a flying squirrel - spreading their legs apart like wings. This is the reason why Sugar have been saved from getting any serious injuries.

Sugar’s owner was amazed that her pet cat survived and since that incident, a screen has been installed on the window that Sugar fell from.
