More than two months after the tragedy, underwater robots found the bodies in the hull of the ship, sunk in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Although there are four missing passengers.

The three bodies were found by using the ROV underwater robots, which found gaps between the hull and the seabed.

"Operations advised the use of these instruments to see if there were bodies and, indeed, were found three, but the recovery of dead bodies will require a few days , "said civil protection chief Franco Gabrielli.

Teams must establish "activities with hyperbaric techniques to recover the bodies and families to mourn their relatives."

With this location, the death toll from Costa Concordia, which ran aground on a rock formation off the coast of the island of Giglio, rose to 28 dead, while four passengers are still missing. The families of the shipwrecked and were advised, Gabrielli said.

Meanwhile, rescuers continue the operation to remove fuel from the ship, which was in 17 tanks. Work began on February 12 and is expected to end on Friday night.

Then proceed to clean the bottom of the sea and the area around the hull to allow removal the boat, in tasks that could take up to a year.
