Thousands of two-and four-wheelers, Thursday (22/3) continue Gilimanuk to Ketapang crowded crossings, before the holy day of Nyepi holiday which falls on Friday (23/3).



Operations Manager of PT ASDP Gilimanuk, Jembrana, who was contacted from Denpasar to explain, the flow of vehicles is currently estimated to be equal to the previous day that reached 6.000 motorcycles and 2.400 automobile.



According to him, every year before Nyepi always been a surge currents crossing from Bali to Java. On weekdays, the number of motorcycles that cross approximately 1.500 to 1.700, while the car about 800 units.



"We expect the flow of vehicles coming out of Bali before Nyepi will continue until Thursday evening, due to the closure of the new crossing place from Thursday (22/3) at 12.00 pm and opened again on Saturday (24/3) at 06.00 pm, he said.



Furthermore, he added, although the current passenger flow and solid vehicle, no additional fleet in the harbor that connects the island of Bali to Java. Currently in the port operates 24 ships.



Those who crossed over to the island of Java, it is generally the people who work in Bali. They spent Nyepi holiday in his hometown. Nevertheless, non-Hindu people also spend a lot of Nyepi holiday by staying in Bali.
