Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, has asked a judge on Tuesday, to put her ill mother in a conservatorship that will not only look after her health, but also her finances because her Gabor’s husband is negligent towards her needs.
Hilton claims that Gabor’s husband, Fredric Von Anhalt, isolates her 95 year old mother who’s suffering from poor health, and leaves her while she’s highly sedated thereby not being there for her when she is in need to be taken care of. "By isolating me from my mother, not only does her current husband deprive her of my love and companionship, but he goes against estate planning documents that appear to reflect her wishes that he not be in sole control of her affairs," Hilton wrote in a declaration that she gave along with her petition.
Hilton has pleaded to the district court to appoint her as Gabor’s conservator, despite the fact that her attorney, Kenneth Kossoff, has suggested a third party, who will not have any conflicting interests, while performing oversight duties related to Gabor’s care. It's probably her last card she's playing now," Von Anhalt said of Hilton. "It's all about money. She's afraid, her mother passing away eventually, and there's nothing."
Kossoff has denied any such accusations over his client. having just recently learned that he took out a $700,000 loan, and that there was a notice of default recorded against the property in late February 2012 because he apparently has not been paying Zsa Zsa's mortgage payment, it became clear to Francesca that if she did not seek to protect her mother, no one else would," Kossoff said in a statement defending Hilton.
Over the last several years, Hilton and Anhalt have brawled over who’s going to take care of Gabor, while Anhalt told Hilton in a phone interview that Gabor doesn’t need her because his wife is more comfortable with him than her daughter and the court scrutiny and come and see that for themselves.
Von Anhalt says that whatever he’s ever done or will do in the future, will be in the best interest of his wife. He said that selling out the Bel Air mansion of Gabor, was a decision taken after considering the huge medical expenses that sometimes amount to more than $30,000 a month, when Gabor’s monthly income is only $6,000. However, Hilton, he said, is against the sale of that property and that’s why she is playing all these tricks.
The first hearing of the case is scheduled to take place on May 2nd, 2012.
