Bobcats forward Boris Diaw after Game 3 loss to Orlando

News sources Associated Press and Fox Sports. Charlotte North Carolina. Doug Neustadt the agent for forward Boris Diaw 29, says his client is leaving the Charlotte Bobcats to sign for another team.

Diaw, who was in his last year of his contract, was owed $2 million by the team. It is unknown how much money Diaw gave up to be released from his contract.

Diaw has been riding the bench this season beacuse Paul Silas felt Diaw was not a productive member of the Bobcat team.

Diaw was accquired by the Bobcats in a trade from the Phoenix Suns. in 2008. Under coach Larry Brown, Diaw performed well, however when Brown was fired and replaced by Paul Silas trouble started. Diaw and Silas never meshed.

Diaw wanted to leave the Bobcats who have only won seven games this season so he can play for a playoff team.

Neustadt said Diaw will sign a contract with another team Wednesday as soon as the National Basketball Association (NBA) officers approve the buyout.
