Katy Perry to perform at IPL 2012 opening ceremony

American singer Katy Perry is set to perform at the IPL 2012 opening ceremony in Chennai on April 3. Bollywood celebrities Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will also participate at the IPL 5 opening event. Reports also say Amitabh Bachchan will be seen as the host of the gala IPL season 5 opening event.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand had come to India earlier in 2010 to tie the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan. The celebrity couple got separated in December last year.
