The History Channel has their own version of March Madness with the reality show that is called "Full Metal." The contest is between 16 people that are competing in a jousting tournament. Jousting is a medieval sport in which riders on horses attempt to hit each other with long sticks called lances. The riders are in full body armor.
I'm sitting here at home watching the replay of tonight's episode. Tom Conant, one of the riders in training, miss the target in practice and impaled his training partner right in the thigh. Yikes!
Then, they gave him another training partner. Conant aimed too low again and impaled his replacement partner in the nuts. The winner receives $100,000, but attempting to take out your opponents by impaling them in the nuts is wrong.
