Senior al-Qaeda member dead

Detailed search of the documents retrieved from the premises of the Abbottabad house where the al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had been in hiding has revealed a sinister plot hatched by OBL to eliminate the US President Barack Obama.

Data held in laptops, notepads and computer hard drives were also checked.

The plan was to attack the aircraft which would be carrying Barack Obama and General David Petraeus – OBL’s logic was that with both of them dead, the US would be in turmoil because vice President Biden would be caught unawares and would be totally unprepared to take over and handle the situation.

It appears OBL had entrusted the work to one of his trusted men Ilyas Kashmiri.

Was it a case of who gets whom first?

Was the US intelligence aware of the plot beforehand and was that the reason why the US Navy SEALS descended on Abottabad to wipe out the threat?
