Jocko is credited with being the official father of more than 161,888 female offspring worldwide – unofficial estimates put the figure at over 400,000.
Jocko was the sire of Prim'Holstein cattle which is believed to be the main French strain of the black and white Holstein or Friesian breed of milk-producing cows. He had had the unique distinction of being one of five bulls responsible for breeding the Prim’Holstein race.
He passed away in France at the age of only 27 years.
In the course of his lifetime, Jocko had donated 1.7-million doses of sperm to 60 countries across the globe and had earned more than $20-million for his owners.
As a tribute to his contribution to the world – his body would not be turned into meat as is normally done but would be preserved in the Natural History museum in Paris.
