The seven-part documentary series premieres March 18, 2012, at 8 p.m. ET/PT and highlights the Earth’s Polar Regions, including amazing flora and fauna indigenous to these incredibly remote and desolate parts of the world. BBC and Discovery Channel production crews traveled with Quark to capture the stunning scenery featured in the series.
“After more than two decades, Quark Expeditions continues to be the only travel company to exclusively offer expeditions to the Polar Regions,” said Hans Lagerweij, president, Quark Expeditions. “As the leader in polar travel adventures, Quark was able to provide unparalleled access to these regions for BBC and Discovery Channel crews, as well as make our expert expedition staff available for their shoots.”
