Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, met with the British men’s and women’s Olympics 2012 hockey teams today March 15, 2012 in London, England and got into the spirit of the games by playing the game herself!
The duchess donned her colorful Team GB Official Supporter's Scarf for London 2012 Olympics, which accessorized her coral pink skinny jeans, which she teamed with a sharp navy blue jacket with gold tone buttons and a sporty white T-shirt.
Removing her jacket, high heel pumps and scarf, the Duchess changed into the Team GB sporty pale grey jersey jacket and trainers to meet the hockey teams, who gave her a personalized hockey shirt printed with “CAMBRIDGE 1” for the memories of the meeting.
The 30-year-old Catherine’s athletic built speaks for itself, but the young duchess displayed quite a bit of agility as she played hockey, which the GB Hockey Performance Director David Faulkner would’ve well noted!
Catherine, formerly, also captained the women’s hockey team at her high school, Marlborough College, which explains why she seemed such a natural out on the field at Riverside Arena in Olympic Park.
Taking the hockey stick in hand, the duchess quipped, “I was really looking forward to coming here, but now I am here and have discovered I have to play, I am not feeling so confident.” She needn’t have been so humble, she’s clearly a natch!
