Mogadishu -( Medeshi )- A suicide bomber targeting the visiting Kenyan Foreign Affairs Minister to Somalia missed and killed three people in a place which is hundreds of metres away from the location of the minister .

Kenyan FM Moses Wetangula was unharmed in the attack and left Somalia afterwards. The Somali government reported that several of the security guards of Villa Somalia – the Presidential Palace – were injured in the attack.

Kenya sent its army into Somalia in October 2011 to drive out Al-shabaab extremists that it suspects were behind the kidnapping of foreigners in its tourist resort areas as well as several suicide bombs that killed many in the Capital , Nairobi . Al Shabaab have vowed in-turn to increase targeting Kenyan interests in the region and have recently called for the Kenyan youth to rise-up against the Kenyan government .

Somalia has had no functional government since the fall of the late Dictator Siyad Barre in 1991 . The weak Transitional Federal Government backed by the West and the African Union is fighting Al shabaab militants who control most of South Somalia .
