The #14 seeded BYU Cougars (26-8) are fresh off of the greatest comeback in the history of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. They came back from being 25 down in their play-in game with Iona so that they can play the #3 seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (25-7) today at 2:45 EST in the West Regional.
BYU must adjust quickly as Marquette's team is identical to Iona. Marquette plays with an undersized lineup. However, their lack of size allows for their quickness to become a huge advantage on the perimeter. Their depth of guards and wing players ensure that the tempo remains fast. They are led by the duo of G Darius Johnson-Odom (18.5 ppg) and F Jae Crowder (17.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg).
The Cougars are led by the frontcourt duo of Noah Hartsock (16.9 ppg) and Brandon Davies (15.1 ppg, 7.6 rpg). BYU needs to remember that they must continue to pound the ball inside or they will be facing another double-digit deficit.
