Everyone is going to age and become weathered on their voyage through life. To some extent, wrinkles and lines are unavoidable. But many times it occurs prematurely. To be aware of how to prevent premature wrinkles, note that wrinkles come in two basic varieties: Some wrinkles are permanent, but some wrinkles aren't. To rid the face of the permanent kind requires some plastic surgery. The other types, which are sometimes referred to as 'pseudowrinkles', are relatively simple to banish.

Pseudowrinkles are actually nothing more than the consequence of dehydration. However they often look just like the permanent lines and wrinkles of aging and cause just as much concern. They originate from very ordinary situations, such as:

Sunlight. As you are sunbathing, the sun's rays are evaporating the moisture out of your skin and dehydrating it. This dehydrating effect is further enhanced by the swimming that sometimes accompanies laying in the sun. To prevent facial lines from developing, consider these safeguards. First, use a sunscreen while outside. Then, after you come indoors, take a cool bath. Incorporate a few tablespoons of olive oil to the bath water and give it time to sit for a few minutes before you climb in. When you get out, pat yourself dry and apply a moisturizer.

Prescription Drugs.
Some medications act as diuretics, causing people to go to the bathroom often. This may cause minor dehydration--just enough to cause several wrinkles on the hands and face. This can be easily remedied by drinking a glass of water and applying a moisturizer or hydrating lotion.

The Winter Months. Heating your house throughout the winter sucks the moisture straight out of the air, dehydrating the skin. Going outside to the harsh winds can further dry out skin, leading to additional wrinkling. Thankfully, this is easily treated by purchasing an air humidifier or leaving water around the house to add moisture to the air. It's also advisable to apply an oil-based moisturizer to lock in moisture after showering.

Permanent Wrinkles

Permanent wrinkles are easy to prevent but they are much more challenging to eliminate. Some people can successfully reduce the appearance of these wrinkles using an anti-aging skin care product but the ideal way to have younger-looking skin is to prevent them from developing to begin with. These wrinkles can result from:

Sun Exposure.
While sun-induced dehydration can cause pseudowrinkles in the short-term, long term exposure to the sun can cause permanent wrinkles. The collective effect of excess sun exposure is destroyed elastin. If the support tissue beneath your skin is damaged, it can't be adequately restored. This may be easily prevented through the use of sunscreen lotion prior to going outside for longer than a quick trip to the mailbox. If you are already showing symptoms of sun damage, put on sunscreen lotion prior to heading outdoors to prevent additional damage and apply moisturizer. The lines and wrinkles on your face may be permanent, but skin hydration will make them less obvious.

Smoking. Studies have shown that smokers have a high prevalence of crow's-feet at the corners of their eyes. You will find conflicting theories as to whether these are due to squinting the eyes against the smoke or by the smoke itself but everyone agrees that stopping is the greatest remedy for these wrinkles. Quitting won't get rid of the fine lines that are already there however it can certainly help stop future lines from developing.

Aging. Skin slowly deteriorates with age. Wrinkles are an inevitable aspect of the general loss of water, decreased circulation, and degeneration of elastic tissue that accompanies the passage of years. Regrettably, there is no way to prevent aging; all you can do is strive to ease your skin into aging. Just like sun exposure, you can reduce the visibility of wrinkles with a wrinkle cream, but they will not disappear completely.

For additional information on how you can prevent your skin from appearing wrinkled, have a look at Kinerase reviews or search for wrinkle creams containing hyaluronic acid.
