A woman died with infants in delivery case at Landikotal

A woman died of bleeding in delivery case in Landikotal hospital, her two offspring also died with their mother. A woman hailing from Peero Khel area of Shinwari fell unconscious at her home during delivery and suffered from profuse bleeding, but she succumbed to her bountiful bleeding at the hospital as there was reportedly not female doctor “Gynecologist” and other basic facilities at the labour room at Landikotal hospital here on Tuesday night. Her two infants or new born babies also died with their mother. She died of abundant bleeding as there was no facility to block her bleeding though the male doctors tried their level best to stop her bleeding.

Some days back another local woman had gone unconscious after she suffered from appendix. She was then rushed to hospital at Peshawar where she was passed through quick surgery which let her survive. The local people told that basically there was a lack of gynecologist and the surgeon is seldom available at the hospital. The Medical superintendent of the hospital had also once told that he struggled to find and recruit a gynecologist so that she could serve the local females .
