US soldier goes on shooting spree in southern Afghanistan

A US soldier went out of the military compound on Sunday and opened fire on Afghan civilians killing 16 after entering their homes. 6 others were also injured . The tragic incident came weeks after US military personnel burned copies of the Holy Quran causing many deaths after massive protests were staged through out the country . Rouge Afghan policemen also turned their guns on US military personnel killing 6 after the Quran burning .

The latest incident adds into the already tense situation and mistrust between the Afghans and NATO personnel stationed in the region .
