And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.

-- Gen. 27:10 (KJV)

They were doing all of this conniving so that Jacob could receive the final blessing from his father. However, you don't have to envelop yourself in the chasm of deceit in order to receive the blessing. Be true to yourself in order to receive the blessing from God.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 9,1,2,7. (9) To overturn evil, bring good things to your parents. (1) To follow God, eat properly. (2) Walk in God's kingdom in order to be blessed. (7) Be perfected by God in order to be blessed.
