Kimberly Quaid, the wife of actor, has reportedly filed for divorce. Grounds for the divorce petition from Kimberly are that the “marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities... that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington-Quaid have been married for almost eight years and a statement released to ABC News, Dennis Quaid’s representative has stated that a “satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties.”
Though the representative also added that no further details on the “private matter” would be forth-coming, TMZ reports that a request for spousal support from wife Kimberly has been denied and that Dennis has stated that she “take nothing.”
The Quaids are also sharing custody of their 4-year-old twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace. While property division is still being settled, including the joint use of a Range Rover vehicle, it appears that the Court will be left with the final decision.
Per TMZ, Kimberly has stated that she anticipates that she and Dennis will “strike a settlement, but she's not fully confident” as she has added in her filing documents that in the case “such an agreement is not made, Petitioner (Kimberly) requests to divide their estate in a manner that the court deems just and right.”Apparently the couple has not parted on friendly terms as hinted at by the document filed by Kimberly Buffington-Quaid.
