Russia will send the Buranovo Grannies as their representative to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan on May.
The Buranovo Grannies beat the other 24 contestants composed of bands and solo performers on a television contest for the Russia choose its entry. Although many criticize them for their age and seeming lack og competitive singing edge the grannies take it seriously. This grannies don't want fame for their goal is to raise money to build church in their village in Buranovo living around 650 people.
Other countries who will join the Eurovision song competition are already preparing their representative. The Great Britain eyeing the famous singer Englebert Humperdinck whose age is 75 years old hoping to get the elderly vote in the competition.
Some famous singers who took the Eurovision song contest arein 1988 for Switzerland and ABBA IN 1974 for Sweden.
