News source WAAYTV.com Fort Myers Florida. The Minnesota Twins have extended left handed relief pitcher Glen Perkins a three year contract worth $10.3 million in guarnateed salary with a club option for 2015.

Perkins was a first round draft pick of the Minnesota Twins in the 2004 Major League Draft. Perkins played his college baseball at the University of Minnesota.

Perkins has a lifetime record in the Major Leagues of 23 wins and 16 losses with an earned run average of 4.41.

Perkins has pitched both as a starter and reliever with the Minnesota Twins during his Major League Baseball career.

Perkins record in the 2011 Major League Baseball season was four wins, four losses and an earned run average of 2.48 in 65 appearances as a relief pitcher.
