American Idol - Elise Testone -- One and Only -- Top 12 Girls

For the top 13 on “American Idol” last night’s performance night was more than just a battle for fan votes, but the boys against the girls. On tonight’s results episode the judges will decide who will go home after the two singers – one guy and one girl – who got the lowest votes have been revealed.

The show begins with the group sing as the Idols perform the Stevie Wonder hit “As”; a song that was also recorded by George Michael and this week’s Idol mentor Mary J Blige.

The Idols star in their first Ford music video of the season.

The first of the results…Jessica, Elise, and Hollie. Jessica is safe. Hollie is safe, but Elise is the first girl in the bottom three.

Heejun, Jermaine, and Colton are up next. Colton is safe. Heejun is safe but Jermaine is the first guy in the bottom three.

The first guest performance of the night is from last season’s runner up Lauren Alaina pays homage to her home state with a performance of “Georgia Peaches”.

Time for more results…Erika, Shannon, and Skylar. Skylar is the only girl safe in the trio, Elise and Shannon join Elise as the girls in the bottom three.

The rest of the guys learn their results…Joshua, DeAndre, Jeremy, and the man who drives his own car in his own lane Phillip. Contrary to reports circulating around the internet, Phillip was a little under the weather and had to make a visit to the doctor earlier in the day; NOT the hospital.

Phillip and DeAndre are safe, but Jeremy and Joshua join Jermain in the bottom three.

Host Ryan Seacrest made a surprise announcement telling Erika and Joshua that they were safe; leaving Jermain, Jeremy, Shannon, and Elise in the bottom.

Before more results, this weeks mentor Mary J Blige performs her newest single “Why”. After her performance, Mary J said hello to each of the judges.

Time to reveal the bottom vote getters; but before that Ryan asked Steven Tyler is any of the singers deserved to go home. After some thought Steven said Jeremy. Jermaine is safe. Shannon is safe.

Jeremy and Elise are the bottom two singers and the judges will decide which one will go home. Ryan asked Randy if America got it right and Randy said that they didn’t have their best performances and it was probably right.

After deliberation Jennifer announced that they have decided Elise will stay but Jeremy will be the first one eliminated on season eleven.

The goodbye song this season is from last season’s winner Scotty McCreery.
