Many hate groups have reportedly increased since an African American became President, some motives are also because of income gap and illegal immigration.

Among the states where most of the active hate groups organised themselves were California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, and New York.

The report by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which tracked the group for 30 years, shows that the record increased rapidly to 1,018 hate group operating in the US.

The report also described a stunning rise in the number of anti- government groups, with the ideologies including deep distrust of the US federal government.

The center tracked 1,274 of such a groups in 2011 from 824 this year alone.

The SPLC center has also giving the warning that the trend could continue to grow if Obama is re-elected for the second term.

What a good question Nina, I think Obama knows what's time is it and he understand the challenges he going to face for his second term.

i have thought from the beginning that the disrespect and overall treatment by republicans toward President Obama has more to do with the color of his skin than his policy.

I also think the GOP has used prejudice as a wedge to further divide the country on other issues like women's rights, union rights, worker safety, and environmental regulation.

Any party that has a candidate in it that thinks a college education is a bad idea - has something really wrong with it.

Yes itobin, you're right with that statement, in politics no rules were omitted they are applicable so far it could scores some point; and in most cases it is called the GOP strategie. thanks so much for being here!

I don't know...Obama had a very WHITE mom and a very Black father. He is half and half. Why do people call him a black president? Why don't they call him a white president? He is equally both. Calling him a black president or white president is what is racist. Why can't he just be Pres Obama. I don't think the problem with his presidency has anything to do with color, but everything to do with lack of experience. Look how people hated Bush! It had nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with economy, etc.

A good point of view and your comment answers it all Stephanies, I will glad to recieve you back again thanks.

Barack pierces with his political career through the barriers of prejudice: racism, class and culture.

If it is mentioned about the politicians, Americans want to go back to their prejudices - race, color, church are extremely serious and important. Just , that you are a Catholic, would have just a little opportunity to support the standard electorate.

Politics for a certain group of Americans, are still in theyr prohibition of colors. For extreme conservatives is actually banned anyone except white.

And for many black Americans, Obama is "too white" because there has never experienced life in the black ghetto, and his experience is fundamentally different from the representatives of the African-American under-class. His father was a black Kenyan, but he did doctorate at an American university, and his grandparents were not slaves.
However, Adebanjos it is excellent report ! Rated up!

The fact there is a correlation between two things does not mean there is a causal connection. There may be all sorts of reasons the number of hate groups are growing. However, this does not mean that there is any more hate for a black president. There may be more hate for Mitt Romney representing the one per cent or perhaps because he is Mormon!

Wow northsunm32, you're right some how and I believe Obama is not trying to be anyone darling so it didn't bother him.

Wow! Where do I start here? 1. "Author" is not even in the US, so has no first-hand knowledge of ANYTHING having to do with the unpopularity of THIS black president.
2. The fact that a liberal think tank finds that there are "hate" groups without defining what they are actually tracking means that their conclusion is not scientifically arrived at because it can't be reproduced without making assumptions that actually skew the results in favor of the desired outcome.
3. This president has done more damage to our economy, our society, and our international prestige in less than 3 years than even the most ardent conservative could imagine. He has spent more than 4 TRILLION $ more than revenues and wants to spend even more. He has strong armed Congress into voting against the Keystone pipeline as homage to his environmental benefactors. He has single-handedly tried to destroy the finest healthcare system in the world and put us on the path to a system wrought with government inefficiency, quotas, and rationing. He has denied American exceptionalism at every turn and done everything in his power to reduce our profile to "the same as everyone else". Just like his desire to spread income equality...he doesn't believe that anyone other than the elite, which he would deny membership to unless your liberal card is punched, should be able to succeed financially and, if you do, you should be punished by taxes so your success can be shared.
4. His stated goal of "fundamental transformation" of our society and economy is no different than the same goals that were espoused by the Soviet Union in the past…the same goals that China, Iran, and radical islam have today. Simply put, you don't "fundamentally transform" ANYTHING you love.

Your conclusions are illogically drawn. The hatred you seem to have found has nothing to do with a black president. It has to do with THIS president, who just happens to be black, and his policies.

Obama is a liar, that's why people don't like him. In case you have forgotten, as I know that the average American attention span is only a couple of seconds, he stated that US troops would return from their illegal foreign wars and that they could continue to be psychiatrically medicated on home soil without endangering people from other countries. Sorry if that was a bit obscure for you. He stated that GM "food" would be labelled as such. He is a Communist too, as golfballtx so correctly informs us. None of the above have anything whatsoever to do with the colour of his skin.
And oh, the US "healthcare" system is not the best in the world, and never was. A good healthcare system keeps its dependents alive, and doesn't ruin them financially in the process. Neither of which prerequisites is a notable feature of your HC system.
