Vidya Balan added another feather in her cap of awards , winning the

Best Actress Award at the National Film Awards for her superb role in

the film Dirty Picture . She has already bagged a number of awards for

the Best Actress for this film . This is her first National Film Award .

Dirty Picture is a film based on the life of actress Silk Smita and Vidya

Balan!s bold role in the film has drawn applause from all quarters .

The Regional Films dominated the National Awards with Marathi film

Deool and Byari film ( Byari language ) , shared the Best Film award .

Both these films depict the commercialisation of religion .

Girish Kulkarni who played the lead role in Deool was honored with

the Best Actor!s Award .

Gurvinder Singh was honored with the Best Director!s Award for his

film , " ANhe Ghode Da Daan " .

Tamil Film , " Azagarsamiyin Kuthirai " , was named the most popular film

and its lead Appu Kutty was declared the Best Supporting Actor!s Award .

The Indira Gandhi Award for the best debut film of a director was won

by the Tamil film maker Kumararaja Thiagarajan .

" Chiller Party " , a children!s film bagged the Best Film Award and all the

ten children and Master Partho Gupte were chosen as the best Child

Artists . Vikas Bahal and Manish Tiwari were awarded the Best Script

Writers for the film " Chiller Party " .
