In case you want to see some models by yourself, the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show will be open March 8-18, 2012. You can have a close look, admire, but cruelly, you can’t take it for a test drive. This year, a total of 180 World and European Premiers will be presented by the 260 exhibitors, and the newest models from more than 30 of the world’s major manufacturers will be unveiled.
The opening event for the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show was the ceremony for the oldest and most prestigious award of the automotive world - ‘Car of the Year 2012’, which went to the Opel (Vauxhall) Ampera/Chevrolet Volt. It beat six other finalist on the road to victory: Citroën DS 5, Fiat Panda, Ford Focus, Range Rover Evoque, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Up!.
