With AC Milan already up 4-0 from their throttling of Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, everyone figured that Milan could kick back and relax for this game at the Emirates.
However, things began to get real shaky real quick after Arsenal went ahead 3-0 in the first half. Arsenal was able to get on the board early in the 7th minute on aheader off of a corner kick. The scoring didn't stop as the Gunners scored again in the 26th minute on a Tomas Rosicky kick off of an assist from after Walcott made one of his patented runs down the right sideline. The third goal occurred in the 43rd minute when Milan tripped up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the penalty area. The penalty kick was buried into the goal by Robbie Van Persie.
With only one goal needed to tie with an entire half to go, AC Milan was reeling. However, Milan regained their defensive form in the second half to keep the game scoreless after the intermission. Even though Arsenal clobbered AC Milan today 3-0, Milan advances to the quarterfinals with a 4-3 winning aggregate score.
