With a huge moon as a backdrop, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the Amsterdam-based designers showed their Fall/Winter 2012 offering for their Viktor & Rolf Ready-To-Wear collection at Paris Fashion Week, held at Espace Ephemere Tuileries on March 3, 2012 in Paris, France.
Chunky furs of all kinds took their place alongside delicate sheer chiffon gowns by Viktor & Rolf to warm up the well-heeled fashionista in this Fall 2012 collection. In fact many of the chiffon pieces were artfully trimmed with fur!
And it wasn’t just about furs, Viktor & Rolf even have a fur printed fabric from which they have constructed well-cut coats and even a whimsical pajama type lounge suit for the collection.
They also showed their softer side with satin gowns, such as the pale gold number with a bow tied at the neck, as well as perhaps their spiritual side with a long white sheath, which curiously makes me think of harps and cotton wool clouds…
A far more glamorous slinky black gown with bronze swirls (is that fur or velvet?) is probably going to garner a more favorable response from fashionistas or perhaps even the gorgeous bronze and silver trimmed gown worn by model Karlie Kloss.
One of the most talked about fashion shows this year during Paris Fashion Week, saw the likes of singer in her stunning black and blue outfit!) and actress Leigh Lezark, who sat side-by-side.(
Vogue Editor-at-Large Anna dello Russo (what an interesting fur coat and the retro glasses were cute!), fashionista Giovanna Battaglia, Emmanuelle Alt and Mario Sorrenti also attended. Enjoy this stunning collection from Viktor & Rolf in my slide show…
