Houston Texans sign RB Arian Foster to a five year contract

News sources NBC Sports, NFL Network, ProFootballTalk.com., Michael David Smith, Jason La Canfora. Houston Texas. The Houston Texans have reached an agreement with their running back Arian Foster on a new contract that is worth $43.5 million for five years. $20.75 million dollars are guaranteed.

Foster will be paid $18 million this season, and $30 million in the next three years of his new contract.

La Canfora said the "guaranteed" money in Foster's contract means salary that will be paid based on his skills, being injury free and capacity.

Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams was paid $21 million dollars of guaranteed money last season.
