Breaking: IAF Fighter Aircraft Mirage-2000 Crashed in Rajasthan, 2nd in 10 days

JAIPUR, India (Mon, Mar 5) – A fighter jet of Indian Air Force (IAF) reportedly crashed Monday morning in Rajasthan province, according to Indian media reports.

As per the available details; a French-made two-seater trainer aircraft Mirage-2000 crashed in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, while being on a training mission.

According to IAF media spokesperson; there were a pilot and a co-pilot in the jet at the time of crash but both of them managed to eject safely in time. "The crash occurred around 12.45 p.m. The pilot ejected to safety," the spokesperson said.

This is the second such incident during last 10 days in which Mirage-2000 involved in crash. Earlier on February 24, a trainer version of the jet had crashed in Madhya Pradesh but both pilots, one of whom was an air marshal, had managed to eject in time.
