Howard Stern Show discusses Kirk Cameron Part 1 of 3

Kirk Cameron made an appearance on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” and discussed controversial social issues including homosexuality and gay marriage. However, the interview of the former 80s' TV star Friday caused quite a stir, as he labeled gay marriage as "destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization" and called homosexuals "detrimental" to society.

In the shocking interview, Kirk Cameron told host Piers Morgan that he felt that homosexuality was “unnatural,” adding that he was completely against gay marriage. The comments didn’t go unnoticed as The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation slammed the TV heartthrob-turned-evangelist for his outrageous comments.

"Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character,” said Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs at GLAAD, in a statement.

“Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans," he argued, adding, “Particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation.”

A GLAAD spokesman said the organization would keep track of Kirk Cameron's media bookings and other acting gigs to ensure "the news and entertainment industry is aware of his outrageous anti-gay views."

GLAAD also started a Twitter campaign, telling the “Foolproof” actor, "It's time to finally grow up."

"Growing Pains" teen idol Kirk Cameron, a born-again Christian, said on Friday's interview with Piers Morgan that he did not support gay marriage. He said, "I think that it's ... unnatural. I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."

As for his opinion about marriage equality, actor and Christian evangelist Kirk Cameron said, "Marriage was defined by God a long time ago. Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve - one man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."

When Piers Morgan asked what he would do if one of his six kids told him, "Dad, bad news, I'm gay," Cameron responded, "I'd sit down and I'd have a heart to heart with them, just like you'd do with your kids," adding, "I'd say, 'That's great, son! As long as you're happy.' What would you say?"

However, Cameron kept to his guns, saying, "I wouldn't say 'That's great, son, as long as you're happy.' There are all sorts of issues we need to wrestle through in our life... Just because you feel one way doesn't mean we should act on everything we feel."

42-year-old Kirk Cameron is best known for his character Mike Seaver on the 80s' TV series "Growing Pains.”

Kirk Cameron is right Homosexaulity is the death of this Country, but every man has the right to choose whom he will obey God, or satan.( the flesh). I don't like homosexaul marrige but it is not my right to stop them. They will reap their own reward in hell, but unfortunitly the Constitution says they have the right to presue whatever makes them happy. Now it does not say that we have to Marry them because of what the Bible says what Marrige is, Gay Marrige goes against our beliefs.
Myself I say let them get marrige but do not force the Chruch to Marry them. Let the go down tothe Court House buy a marrige licsense find any liberal Judge that will Marry them do so and leavethe punishment in the hands of the Lord. We are not their judge God is and he will Judge them as well as for us whom think ourseleves to be holy.
The Bible says Judge not least you be judge. You may not agree with gay marriege but let God be the Judge not you less your sins be expposed to the world. Gay marriege is wrong and is sin, but it is their life that God will Judge stay out of it.

Kirk Cameron is telling the truth on this matter. If his enemies do not like his comments, too bad. The truth just plain hurts.

If you are a Christian and profess to believe in and follow Biblical teaching you cannot support homosexuality. This does not mean that someone who struggles with same sex attraction is bad, it just means this is an area of weakness and temptation that they must struggle with, the same as a heterosexual male may struggle with a strong desire to sleep with many different women - it is sin to engage in promiscuous heterosexual intercourse outside of marriage and it is a sin to engage in homosexual intercourse, period. If you want to follow the Bible and be a Christian you must resist and if you fall and sin you repent and ask God to forgive you - this doesn't mean that we don't love our friends and family who may struggle with these issues or that we go out of our way to harass them or persecute them - no Christians advocate that homosexuals should be beaten, beheaded or stoned as Islam does, we don't even say it should be illegal or punished - we just object to society being forced to redefine marriage to include same sex unions. Yet somehow - Christians take all the heat for being "hate mongers" and intolerant and horrible and on and on - whenever there is a story about a gay person being put to death in the middle east - what do you hear from liberals? Deafening silence - is it just cowardice because there's much more danger to speak out to publicly in criticism of Islam? Christians will just tell you, you are wrong, we disagree, we think that is a sin - but to the left, that is apparently less tolerable than if we were regularly beheading people for homosexuality? I just don't get it?
