Mitt Romney On Michigan's Trees And Cars, 2/24/12

In what could be described as a backroom deal in the dead of night, The Michigan State Republican Credentials committee met and changed the rules of the Michigan Primary, after the Primary was done with. They illegally awarded both at-large delegates to candidate Mitt Romney, giving him 16 delegates, and Rick Santorum 14, instead of the 15 each that was originally reported the night of the Primary.

Since when do the rules get changed after the contest in done? This calls into question the integrity of both Mitt Romney, his team members, and members of the Michigan GOP. Mike Cox former Michigan Attorney General and committee member voted NO to the changes, along with another committee member. The vote was 4-2 to change the rules to suit Romney, Cox stated "It's like Third World Voting'!

Republican voters should be outraged at MIGOP and Romney for committing what could be described as after the fact voter fraud. The names of the commitee members are:

  • Bobby Schostak (Party Chair)
  • Sharon Wise (Party Co-Chair)
  • Saul Anuzis (National Committeeman)
  • Holly Hughes (National Committeewoman)
  • Eric Doster (General Counsel)
  • Mike Cox (Policy Committee Chair)
  • Bill Runco (Budget Committee Chair)

What are conservative voters in Michigan to do when their elected officials whom they trust to govern fairly, cheat the system like this? We expect this type of behavior out of Democrats, not Republicans?

Please contact these commitee members and express to them that they should undo the unfair advantage they gave Mitt Romney, and stick to the official rules that were originally in place, and issue and apology to Rick Santorum, and those who voted for him in the Michigan Primary for screwing him over by giving Romney the at-large delegate that belongs to Santorum.
