UK-based Dr. Hassan Hossein Bor

An interview of Indian publisher Nagesh Bushan with Mehrab Sarjovi is being published here for posterity's sake.

Nagesh Bhushan is publisher of the IntelliBriefs while Mehrab Sarjovi is from Western (iranian) Balochistan and is an aide of Baloch tribal leader, Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Daud Ahmadzai.

Nagesh Bhushan: I guess you are representative of Khan of Kalat or "The office of Khan of Kalat". Could you clarify below questions for an article on our blog.

Mehrab Sarjovi; I am not representing the khan of kalat, the khan himself represent himself. He can be contacted though E-mail and telephone. There are many experts who are advising the khan of kalat, I am not spokesman I have been given the task to post the statements from the office of khan of kalat.

Nagesh Bhushan: Is "The office of khan of kalat" in Cardiff negotiating with Pakistan for federalism, as the office's representative deposed before congressional hearing mentioned that people of balochistan wish for federalism?

Mehrab Sarjovi; The Khan of Kalat has been campaigning for the Baluch national liberation nothing less than independence. Dr Bor was expert witness invited by congressional committee and the opinions expressed by DR Bor in the congressional hearing are his (own).

Nagesh Bhushan: Khan Kalat's purpose of leaving Pakistan is different than seeking federalism, could you explain sudden change in stance.?

Mehrab Sarjovi; I am sure you are not following the Khans statements, Baluchistan was a sovereign and independent state, divided by the British into Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Khan left Pakistani part of Baluchistan to challenge Pakistan occupation on the Baluch land. To the some point his team has succeeded. The Congressional hearing and upcoming Bill are good start for the cause of national liberation. The Khan of Kalat and his team are working day and night for united independent Baluchistan.

Nageesh Bhushan:What is the rationale/due diligence whent into in choosing a Iranian Baloch over Pakistani Baloch for representing at hearing? Could Khan Kalat brief our readers?

Mehrab Sarjovi; You have spent some time with Baluch your assumptions on Baluch are wrong. The Baluch are not Iranian or Pakistani the Baluch are Baluch. From the angle where you are coming I understand some countries recognise imposed British colonial boundaries. Your country men do not want to be seen by upsetting Iranians, we know how the states system works and how the state protect their interests, the Baluch struggle for liberation is not there to be part of any ones counterterrorism. Or to be used to protect other state interests, the Baluch struggle is real and the Baluch struggle is for the national liberation.

The khanate rule and the Baluch land do not end where Pakistan boundaries end. Division and colonial boundaries are not acceptable to Baluch our friends and foes should recognise this reality.

Nagesh Bhushan: We heard in email chatter that Khan Kalat "used and dumped" Dr.Wahid Baloch, president of BSO-NA? Over years Dr.Wahid was a die hard supporter of Khan Kalat, why this sudden change?

Mehrab Sarjovi; from where you are coming it concerns me to why you are interfering in other people matters. I do not have knowledge, I do not comment on organisational matters. You did not hear it from email chatter Khan wrote a email which you must have received from Dr Wahid. The khan of kalat had advised Dr Wahid to stay away from you some times ago but it is not matter any more.

Nagesh Bhushan: Regarding the proposed Bill in US congress, it is common knowledge that it won't be passed with majority, many are skeptical. Any comments on this by "The office of khan of kalat" ?

Mehrab Sarjovi; Regardless of the outcome it is a small step in the right direction.

Nagesh Bhushan: These days he is calling himself as "Amir" of Balochistan, as mentioned in his profile at a famous think Tank. Is Khan Kalat wish to become a Monarch ?

Mehrab Sarjovi; The Khans have always been called Amirs since 1410 he has not invented a new title for himself. The Khan of Kalat believes in democracy, rule of law and peoples power. The people of Baluchistan will decide their future.

Mustikhan's Notes: There is no doubt the Baloch must fight unitedly to get the non-binding resolution adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives. At this time the main focus should be on getting more members to co-sponsor the resolution.
