An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck this Sunday Eastern Siberia near the border with Mongolia, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

The earthquake was felt in several cities in the Irkutsk region and the republics of Tuva and Khakassia, without causing casualties or damage.
