News sources St. Tammany News, Slidell Entry News and Erik Sanzenbach. Slidell Louisiana. Slidell poice have arrested two men and a womanon first degree murder charges and aggravated arson 36 hours after a woman's body was found in a Bayou Lane condo during a fire.
The police identified the victim as Ashley King 32, who was stabbed to death in a robbery of her prescription drugs and money. The police said King lived in the Slidell area for only three weeks before she was killed Thursday.
On Friday Slidell police arrested Andrew J. Sumner 19, Kately M Lusich 17, and Devin Ballam 21, all Slidell residents. Lusich is charged with first degree homicide. All three suspects with charged with aggravated arson and first degree homicide.
The police said the motive of the crime was robbery, drugs and money. After King was killed the condo where King's body was found to cover up her death. But eyewitness stepped forward to aid police to help them catch the culprits.
The King family issued a statement thanking the authorities for bringing the culprits responsible for this crime to justice and that they will miss their loved one.
