Jeremy Lin career-high 38 points vs LA Lakers [Full Highlights]

Jeremy Lin, a name that you either love or might already be sick of hearing. The 23 year old Chinese hero is all over the news; he's probably the most talked about athlete at the moment. Lin is the first Chinese American NBA player in the history of the NBA. His ethnicity has definitely a lot to do with his unbelievably fast growing fame. Don't get me wrong, I'm amazed at how incredibly skilled he is but does he really have what it takes to be a champion yet? He has never played in the playoffs which will be much different and tougher than a regular season game which he's already struggling in.

He has played some fantastic games for the New York Knicks (17-18) but he also played some of his worst so far. He dominated against the Lakers (20-14), scoring a career high 38 points and dishing out 7 assists. Lin had another great night against Dallas Mavericks (21-13) with 28 points and a career high 14 assists. Not every game went so well for him, he played very poorly against a few teams but the one that's mostly being talked about is the Knicks' loss against Miami Heat (27-7). The Knicks lost by 14 points, 88-102. A lot of people are throwing the blame at Jeremy Lin because he scored just as many points as the number of times he turned the ball over, 8 points and 8 turnovers. That night must have been a complete nightmare for him and I’m sure most of his fans were very surprised and disappointed. Does it have anything to do with Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire back in the picture? I feel like teams are already starting to figure Lin out, Miami Heat definitely did their homework.

Lin is also a risk taker and isn’t afraid to run right through the defense in the paint and finish off with a layup or a throw a quick pass to an open player. Maybe he should stop taking these unnecessary risks and come up with a new strategy to successfully execute instead of constantly turning the ball over.

Jeremy Lin is still very young and hopefully we’ll see an improvement in their next game against the Cleveland Cavaliers (13-18).
