Friday's attacks were carried out by Boko Haram, an Islamist sect based in north Nigeria

Local police commissioner Orubebe Ghandi Ebikeme said on Saturday that the attack targeted a police headquarters in the capital of Gombe state. Ebikeme said at least 12 people were killed in the attack.The commissioner said there had been no arrests made. GOMBE: Police say that 12 people have been killed and five others wounded in an attack on a city in northeastern Nigeria previously hit by a radical Islamist sect.
