The Transvaginal Probe

Remember when Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) declared in 2010 that April would be Confederate History Month? There was a little bit of resistance, but McDonnell was smart enough to cancel the event.

However, a person that is a bigot will always be a bigot. A person that is racially prejudiced will also be gender biased as well because that type of mindset only deals in the concept of division instead of unity. The Virginia House of Delegates attempted to pass a bill in which women that were planning to have an abortion within the state needed to have a transvaginal probe done 24 hours before it.

The backlash was so great against the House that the House changed the bill so that an external ultrasound became the new requirement. The ultrasound would be a deterrent for some expecting mothers attempting to have an abortion. The new bill was passed yesterday.

This bill is actually foolish because a woman that is choosing to have an abortion is selfish. An ultrasound is not going to change the mind of irresponsible women.

Women of Virginia, if this bill passes in the State Senate, then you will be receiving consequences that you deserve. You shouldn't have voted for a man who has now proven in two separate situations that his decision-making process is influenced by bigotry. Women in Virginia will now lose more of their rights for choosing to vote Republican when they forgot what the R now stands for in Republican.

This video demonstrates how a transvaginal ultrasound exam works. This highly invasive process was almost voted into law in the state of Virginia.
