Manila-Philippines--A document of approximately 25 to 30 pages-ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems — Requirements was created using the national standards organization of a country, supplemented by two other standards, ISO 9000:2005 Quality management systems — Fundamentals and vocabulary and ISO 9004:2009 for the sustained success of an organization — A quality management approach, with no specific requirements and are not used directly in certification.
The History of ISO 9000 standards dates back in 1987 which is dubbed as ISO 9000:1987 that has the same structure as the UK Standard BS 5750 using three modes for quality management systems wherein the selection was based on the scope of activities of an organization.
There are two types of auditing required to become registered to the standard.
External Auditing and audits by internal staff trained for this process with the purpose of a continued process of review and assessment to verify that the system is working, find out the issues of improvement and to correct or prevent problems that accored or may accur in the future.
While it is considered healthier for internal auditors to audit outside their usual management line and bring degree of independence to their work, ISO 9001 standard is general but abstract.
Today, the different industry sectors wanted to standardize their interpretations of the guidelines within their own marketplace, partly to ensure that their versions of ISO 9000 have their specific requirements with well trained and experienced auditors are sent to assess them.
