With some improvements, Twitter had anounced on Tuesday of its new features for Android and iPhone app.
The new features on both apps is designed for quick process of finding friends and other contacts on Twitter by its existing email and phone contact lists. Users can now share, retweet posts, view profiles of others and reply to their favorite tweets with the new swipe shortcut feature even without living their timeline.
On the other hand, said app updates don't apply to all mobile users equally as iPhone users will have the most changes than Android users.
In a report from Mashable Social Media, it says that Android update optimizes Twitter to run on Ice Cream Sandwich version of the platform, Kindle Fire tablet on Amazon, Barnes & Noble’s Nook and Nook Color tablets.
For iPhone upates, the design of direct messages and changing of font size were included.It also allows users to saves links within tweets with its new feature of "Read Later Service" option. And to activate it, users can simply go to Settings menu and click "Advanced" to tweet, copy or email links via the Twitter mobile app’s sharing features.
Improvement on iPhone includes ability of pressing and holding text to copy the body of tweets and user profiles. Users can now again mark all unread messages by tapping a checkmark in the lower righthand corner of the mobile Twitter app feature.
