Ever since the tragic death of legendary singer/actress Whitney Houston on Saturday, Feb 18, 2012 at the Beverly Hills Hilton in California, the Internet is flooded with tributes to the Queen of Pop in the form of music, artwork, and videos, with each fan trying to out beat the other in paying tribute.
But the one tribute which stands out among all is that of a dancing machine 90-year-old grandma, whose performance of a dancing tribute to Whitney Houston has now gone on to become an online hit after it was recorded in a home video. The craze for this is understandable, rightfully so in fact considering her age.
Jeanne, the octogenarian grandma is not letting her age come in the way of swinging a hip. She is seen in the video as saying: "''m doing this in honor of the late Whitney Houston. It's very hard to think of her being gone."
Jeanne is plagued by host of health problems. She suffers from relentless macular degeneration, is legally blind, near deaf and has a steel hip replacement. But that does not deter her from confidently showing off her gigs to late Whitney's hit song 'I wanna dance with somebody'.
It was her grandson Adam Forgie who calls Grandma Jeanne, "100% DANCER," who first uploaded the clip on YouTube and since then it has been viewed more than 300,000 times virally. According to Adam he lives with his grandma and takes care of her. "She is legally blind and like many people her age, also very hard of hearing. One of the few things that makes her happy is dancing!” he adds.
