Snowboarder outfitted in a suit with LED lights carves effortlessly through the deep snow in the French Alps in a stunningly beautiful video.
Fashion photographer and filmmaker, Jacob Sutton, took his Red Epic cameras out of his studio based in London and went to Tignes in the Rhône-Alpes region of Southeastern France to film pro snowboarder Will Hughes going down the dark slopes wearing the LED suit.
After four nights, they shot enough material to produce a 1.45-minute long video picturing a strikingly beautiful ride down a dark mountain illuminated by LED lights.
Designer and electronics whizz John Spatcher created the LED suit, which took 300 hours to complete.
The stunning film was shot with two Red Epic cameras. One was mounted on Will Hughes, the other was held by Jacob Sutton on the back of a skidoo.
Jacob Sutton was very excited about the project, as he says in his interview: "I was really drawn to the idea of a lone character made of light surfing through darkness. I've always been excited by unusual ways of lighting things, so it seemed like an exciting idea to make the subject of the film the only light source."
The short film was produced by a luxury and lifestyle website NOWNESS.
