The excellent building of the village of Candelario. In this church, they mix architectural different styles as Mudejar, Baroque, Romanic and Gothic. Their interior composes it three ships, separated by semicircular big arches.
The central ship is where we find the biggest altar, covered by a coffered Mudejar in whose altarpiece is an allegory of Virgin María's Asunción. And in the lateral ships there are rich altars that of the Sacred Hearts; Saint Anne, employer of the town, or that of the Christ of the Mercy. Among the altarpieces the one dedicated to the Martyrs stands out, it works of size and paintbrush has more than enough chart of the XVI century.
Their facade is decorated with a rosette of Gothic; and in side north, simple cover with archivolts and the weapons of Zúñiga, dukes of Béjar and gentlemen of the village of Candelario. And the first stone was placed in1329.
