The Syrian Regime Supporters have launched a Spyware attack
directed towards the opposition activists. This was according to
an IT Specialist who was a former international aid worker.
It was also found by a US based international software maker,
based on analysis requested by CNN. Sources say it was written
for cyberespionage campaign and it passes information to a
serverat a government-owned telecommunications company in Syria.
Supporters of dictator Bashar al-Assad first steal the identities
of opposition activists, then impersonate them in online chats,
said software engineer Dishad Othman. They gain the trust of
other users to pass out Trojan horse viruses and encourage people
to open them sources said.
