Actor, Whitney’s co-star in “The Bodyguard” joined at the star studded funeral in paying last respect to the 48-year-old pop diva at the Newark church where she got started. Whitney Houston died suddenly last week in a Beverly Hills hotel room.
Costner brought nearly 2,000 mourners to tears today at Houston’s funeral, remembering a movie star who was unsure of her own eminence, who “still wondered. Am I good enough? Am I pretty enough? Will they like me?”
"It was the burden that made her great and the part that caused her to stumble in the end," Costner said.
He called on Bobbi Kristina, Whitney’s daughter and other young women to "sing your hearts out, knowing that there is a lady in heaven making God himself wonder how he created something so perfect."
The Houston family called the funeral a "home going service," favoring to rejoice her life.
